Dr. Becky Gonzalez is the director of the Multilingual Syntax Lab. She is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Spanish and Portuguese and Linguistics. She is primarily interested in theoretical and cognitive aspects of multilingualism and how multilingual structures are represented in the mental architecture. Her research has examined several types of adult multilinguals, including L1 English/L2 Spanish speakers, L1 Spanish/ L2 English speakers, Heritage Spanish speakers, and L3 Brazilian Portuguese speakers.
